The A51 From Samsung Reviewed

Now that the middle range devices being evermore crowded than ever before, I decided it was time to look at a smartphone that will likely sell in massive numbers around the world, the Galaxy A51. This phone a restrained yet nice design, Samsung's A51 features quad rear camera setup, an AMOLED display with a centrally located selfie camera, as well as a glass-tastick rear panel.
Galaxy A51 has been on sale in Europe from February while it entered the marketplace in the US during April and retails for $400/£330.

The Galaxy A51 Design

Owing to the glassticky rear, the Galaxy A51 doesn't feel or look like it is a mid-range handset, the plastic does seem more forgiving when it's in the hand because there aren't any sharp edges like you sometimes get on smartphones with rear panels made of glass. This design element with the back panel is good and this adds some class to the Galaxy A51.
We see the branding on enbtry level handsets can be just a bit overdone, Samsung's logo has been modestly placed.
You see the central punch-hole camera setup that, is becomes even prominent by what seems to be a metallic circle that attracts your eyes.
Sound enthusiasts will be pleased that there is an sound jack located on the lower edge, with a Type C port as well as the speaker's chamber.
At the top of the smartphone there's a single microphone and on the right side has the power button as well as a loudness rocker and the SIM card tray place on the left side.
It is a tidy yet, inoffensive phone that will fit into a normal-sized jeans pocket easily.

Galaxy A51 Performance And Speed

The Samsung Galaxy A51's Super AMOLED display is as great as we have come to expect from Galaxy phones}, the colors are vibrant and the viewing angles being a pleasure. There's very little to whine about and yet some people will always find something, apart from it is a little dim (yet is still readable) in sunlight and circumstances are not conducive to viewing content on, even if you have the contrast turned up to 100%.
This is where roadtesting top of the range devices such as the Oppo Find X2 Pro as well as the OnePlus 8 is a hindrance in developing a balanced view of a middle range phone such as this one.
The Exynos 9611 CPU is not able to compete with Snapdragon's 865 CPU in any way, and get redirected here moving from the Exynos to the Snapdragon is a wakeup call then you see that the Galaxy A51 is only a middle of the range device and allowances should be given.
No mistaking that, the Samsung Galaxy A51 can be laggy at times and we were left wondering if the handset had indeed registered my touch or not when trying to open an app or make use of the phone.
And, its an amount of lag that I haven’t seen in quite some time, even with cheaper phones like the Honor 10 Lite that costs just £145.
As for the fingerprint sensor, I will just say that Samsung should have rather put it on the rear panel as I experienced a success roughly 50% when attempting to unlock the A51 before having to end up typing the pin code.
